This document outlines the ethical and social principles and values that guide the corporate policy of Re Sole S.R.L. (hereinafter also referred to simply as Re Sole or the Company). It is addressed to employees, shareholders, clients, suppliers, external collaborators, business partners, and any other party that may act on behalf of Re Sole.
1. Policy Framework
In the heart of the Vicenza gold district, more than 25 years ago, Re Sole was founded. Since then, it has been designing, developing, and marketing gold jewelry. The company operates from a single location, which is in Vicenza, at the following address: Via Vecchia Ferriera 70. Re Sole is a member of the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC). Respect for individuals, legality, employee protection, and environmental care have always been core values of Re Sole’s corporate policy.
For these reasons, and with the goal of enhancing the promotion and protection of these values, since November 2020 the Company has chosen to become a Member of the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC), a non-profit organization with regulatory duties, established to promote responsible ethical, human rights, social, and environmental practices throughout the diamond, gold, silver, platinum group metals, and colored gemstone supply chains.
RJC has developed a benchmark standard for the jewelry supply chain and credible mechanisms for third-party verification to ensure that companies operate in accordance with responsible business practices. As an RJC member, Re Sole is committed to conducting its operations in compliance with the RJC Code of Practices (COP 2019), and to integrating ethical, human rights, social, and environmental considerations into its daily activities, business planning, and decision-making processes. Furthermore, Re Sole S.R.L. is committed to maintaining certification that attests to its compliance with this standard.
To this end, we have formalized our RJC policy by self-assessing the conformity of our activities to the RJC standard and adopting all necessary measures to meet the certification requirements. We make available to our clients and all interested stakeholders the relevant data substantiating the results our company has achieved by applying this standard. Re Sole conducts regular audits to verify that the principles outlined in this policy are effectively implemented and respected. For this purpose, the RJC Control Committee was established, composed of three different roles with oversight functions in the areas of environment and safety, human rights, and security. The RJC Committee meets annually.
2. Human Rights and Social Policy
In addition to complying with applicable laws in all the countries where it operates, Re Sole is committed to identifying, mitigating, and—where possible—preventing potential human rights violations related to its activities. To this end, Re Sole declares that it:
